Phase I.
RIGHT - R 22e R with under command A Squadron 12 R
TKS, Reconnaissance Troop 12 R TKS and one
troop SP anti-tank guns.
LEFT - WNSR with under command C Squadron 12 R
TKS and two SP anti-tank guns.
RESERVE - CYR with under command B Squadron 12 R
TKS.
Plan was for the attack over the RIVER MARANO to be made on a two-battalion front at two crossings being made over the river by first light. The advance was then to the continued onto the SAN MARTINO - SAN LORENZO feature.
H Hour - Attack to be carried out 14 Sep at a time to be fixed later.
(b) 1 CANADIAN INFANTRY BRIGADE with 48 R TKS under command were to move up behind 3 CANADIAN BRIGADE on night 14/15 Sep and to commence their thrust to the coast road early on mourning of 15 Sep.
RIGHT - 2 CANADIAN INFANTRY BRIGADE to attack
on two-battalion front.
LEFT - 1 CANADIAN INFANTRY BRIGADE to attack
on one-battalion front.
2 CANADIAN BRIGADE Sector:
RIGHT - SEAF of C with under command A Squadron
145 RAC.
LEFT - PPCLI with under command B Squadron 145
RAC.
RESERVE for exploitation role in Phase III
Plan was for the assaulting battalions to form up and the attack over the RIVER AUSA in the area 894940 on to the FORTUNATO feature after consolidation.
LER supported by C Squadron 145 RAC were to pass through the same evening and advance to the RiVER MARECCHIA by night. By first light for a following day they were to be established astride Routes 9 and 16 in area 8398.
H Hour - Attack in PHASE II to be made on 16 Sep and PHASE III
to be complete by first light 17 Sep.
