SALLY ANN
It is not every Rover Crew (either in Blighty or overseas) that has such great helpers. We owe you a lot for all that you have done for us. One thing especially will recall the happy hours spent at the "Sally Ann", namely our Flag, in the making of which you expended so much time and care. You have done and are still doing a great job.
We thank you.

H.Q. PATROL NEWS
The strength of our Patrol has dropped considerably due to illness. Slim is understood to be in "Blighty", while Goodie is in hospital and likely to follow. I'm sure the Crew will join me in wishing them both a speedy recovery and good Scouting.

BONE CREW
These old friends of ours are going great guns and are still collaborating with their French comrades. Recently they visited the Casbah (officially of course!) to participate in the celebrations of Moslem Scouts. Quite a do I bet!
TUNIS CREW
We have now set up shop in Salerno. All you lucky blighters, who have yet to leave, will find the door wide open.
POLISH SCOUTS
Presentation of a neckerchief in Stuart Tartan, a "token" to represent a more general contribution, was an item at a meeting of Scouts, serving in the Polish Army, which was held in Edinburgh. The idea being that every Polish Scout, who has been in Scotland, shall have a simliar neckerchief as a souvenir of a very happy fellowship - Stuart Tartan because
of Prince Charlie's Polish mother.
Editor's Note:
The Polish Corps, under General Anders, contributed a magnificent effort for the Allied cause during the Italian Campaign. |
